Its not just flowers & rainbows though we might wish with all our hearts it were. As the poets have always told us, love resembles a rose with harsh hurting thorns beneath its bright beautiful blossom. For some the thorns are hardly knowticable so sweet the sent of the rose, but for me the rose is small shriveled almost before its bloomed & all I’m left with a brush of thorns like tiny needles poking my heart.
