About Me
my name's aiman and i'm half asian. you can call me manny if you wish, it's a lame nickname but i get tired of having to explain how to pronounce my name properly. anyways..i'm from malaysia. i'm eighteen (obviously) and i consider myself a pretty quiet boy. i don't usually get out of the house much unless it's to go for a walk alone or kick my ball around by myself. i do like to see my friends and be sociable, but not always. i love being alone most of the time. music is something i consider really important, as many others also do. i guess it adds some colour to life, especially the good stuff. i didn't really get into music until about april last year because i'd never been very adventurous. i believe at the time i had about 50 songs. whenever i'd see someone's list of bands on myspace of vampirefreaks there'd always be the likes of my chemical romance, escape the fate, or someone else but because i read they were 'emo' i didn't check them out. even though i didn't know what emo meant last year, haha. i just assumed it would be bad. but my brother couldn't accept me only having 50 songs and encouraged me to explore and just see what i like, and now i find myself listening to a bit of punk, metalcore, melodic death metal, indie and even folk. i'll like some pop for easy listening if i'm in the mood. check out below for some bands i listen to. i love playing sport, only ever played badminton and football (soccer). i started playing badminton at 14 and ended up playing in the state team in the U19 nationals last year, also got to see an international tournament, was really amazing. soccer's my favourite game, i don't play for a club or anything but you'll always see me with a ball if i'm out unless it's town or something. anyways, i feel i've rambled on for a while..already this is getting long. it'd be great if anyone says hi. feel free to add, comment, ask questions, anything.

i'm not hugely into watching television or movies, i've always been like that. anyway, i'd say friends, the it crowd, doctor who and heroes. they're all pretty great. not many movies come to mind, but lord of the rings..amazing.
Favourite Books
i love reading, used to read a lot but not so much recently. used to be really addicted to stuff about alexander, hannibal or rome..then i moved to action, before settling on the fantasy genre. it's not as lame as i thought!
Education/Occupation
i've just graduated from year 12 at unley high school, decent school. anyway, hopefully i'll get into the university of adelaide next year for social sciences, get my results just before christmas so wish me luck!
Who I'd Like To Meet
anyone who's really nice and i can have a good chat with. be great to find more aussies, and people in adelaide but it doesn't really matter. i love talking to people from everywhere provided they're friendly and all that.
