Just as I thought the media couldn't get anymre pathethic over the emo scene I saw this: Emo is Dangerous Have a read and a laugh :D I mean I do agree to some extent that parents should be allowed to block their children from viewing certain material on the Internet, but emo? Come on!!

Grr i hate the world, surly like mutalation should be up there and terrorism or gore stuff like that, its stupid the world is so nieve and the part about taking an unhealthy intresst in death? wtf i think death should be talked about more because then it wouldnt be so sencitive, but yea F**k the world and parents that are stupid. Alot of the time it is parents fault anyway.

Normal everyday non alternative people are now saying did you know there are sites that teach you about self harm and suicide? They are probably referring to emo. Now that makes me pissed at the media!!

Yea the media suck but we all know that :S i watched a program about that yesterday as well stupid papers, we should make a newspaper but a true one but for every group not just emo, because we seem to get it bad or the worst but it does happen to other groups too.

Yea what program Matt and sadly not all that many people take notice of those defending the emo scene. Hopefully this site plays a small part though.

no my friends saw it today and he said that everyone one the site isnt emo and they just want to be like emo, I was like wtf?? and just went off listerning to music, i was like what do you think emo is then all cutting and death? Noo. umm it was about how hoodies have "changed the world" and how people are scared of anyone wearing a hoodie, there was a group of people that went out in hoods to pick up litter and give people gift bags and stuff, to try and change the teen image, and they got kicked out the park for trying to help people and clean up.

Words in a list just a reflection of many parents thoughts... They prefer words "porn" and "drugs" to be safier than "emo" or "suicide"... Not so strange, ppl make their misunderstandings by their own minds. So more tnan 30 000 american parents are so incompetent XD That's a real fun. In conclusion, PPL NEED MORE TRUTH ABOUT EMO (and other subcultures) IN MASS MEDIA. "Bonehead" is much dangerous word, but not as "porn" or "drugs"...

yeah, i think the misconceptions are quite amusing really. as if emo could ever be considered 'dangerous'..
