Both, because of my crappy asianeyes, it's just easier to use both... But if I HAVE to choose it'll be liquid without doubt, and yes, it really does hurt to get it into the eyes XD

I use both (: liquid for the top and pencil for my lower lid and waterline. LOL remove eyeliner before you get in the shower, if you don't then you look like dracular on crack, yes that may be a good thing, but its a buggar to remove! :L (:
