Lol i wrote this when i was half asleep, it was written in first person cause you must read it out loud or to yourself and feel the poem.. you are saying the poem making it your own and you are "I" So many times I’ve taken a fall Never to be rewarded for it all. Many times I just couldn’t fix the broken mirror, I’m sick of it So many times I’ve had to cry paint a smile live a lie So many times it just didn’t work the world it burdened me with hurt Why must I live this messed up life, filled with endless gore and strife? Why must the wind so constantly change, turning the hurricane in my direction? Why can’t I just go the sea and bathe instead of being washed away by waves? Why must it be so hard, don’t those who toil gain reward? Now I have lost the will to move, depression crushing my grove Too afraid too take the stance too afraid to ask success to dance Now the days roll swiftly by as swift as it takes a caterpillar to finally touch the sky Now my life seems like a misfit, not one piece fits not even a bit Now I guess ill just roll back my eyes, cock up here and die Now I guess it’s too late to cry, all the water is already dried up from my eyes But why must I stand for this retribution, where there is a problem there is a solution Why must confusion make me stubble around, I’ll stand firm hold my ground So many times I thought all was lost, but me living is not a lost cost So many times I’ve lost a dime, but while looking I’ve found nine Now I have the strength to move, push agony away and move Now I know it is time to get up, sitting her sulking is only for those who give up It’s time for me to sort out my life, move one step up.
