Ah.. lost the flow.. took me too long to get to the computer to write down my thoughts.. I will do another version of the poem later when I feel it stronger… Thoughts are all over the place in this one Amore e Morte – The first ( of many) Till death to us part that is how the old saying goes But parting from my love is killing me Skeletons mock my once strong frame; their eye sockets gaze into my shallow soul My foundation a grave, misery my tombstone, loneliness has buried me Dust to dust ashes to ashes, the separation is causing me to deteriorate Life with her must be my fate; her return will be too late, without her life seems desolate I look outside, the sky is grey it seems like the world decided to skip dawn today So now dawn is gone how I will wake? To let her part was a grave mistake Don’t wear your heart on your sleeve they say My soul is knit to hers like fine tread on apparel; my heart must beat as hers does It is true that love alone can conquer any distance, the heart may be strong but arms can only stretch so far I am trying to reach her; I just want to hear her voice, so many nights I’ve tried to sleep without it So many times I have tried to breathe; so many times I have tried not think about it So many times I’ve tried to live without it Amore e Morte, love and death Return my love so that I may live again Stephonz July 21st, 2009 © Amore e Morte 2 This one is a bit shorter, thoughts flowed a bit better, I’d like feedback on which one you prefer  Death it stares its darkened gaze, all the days are still the same Melting slowly, drifting away, my heart gone leaving my body here to stay Alone I rest in my deep grave, six feet under is where I’ll lay But as I lay down to eternal sleep the sky above shines light on me The light of the one for who I will put a fray, the one who inspires me to live another day Open the sky and dawn appears, I reach for the sky to touch her hair But like a ghost through her my reach has phased Leaving me wanting more and lonely for another day She is so my life but she dug my grave To survive this life, with her I must stay Till death do us part the saying goes, but how long must I bear this aching soul Cause if she died and left me behind then my soul would leave me and her soul it would try to find Amore e Morte let love live, Amore e Morte my life to her devoted I will live Amore e Morte hear my cry, Amore e Morte I pray our love will never die Stephonz July 21st, 2009 ©
