I sent these poems to my editor..on the date they were copyrighted, these poems were my deepest feelings for my ex gf, i wrote them when she was away all the time, i never planned to show anyone these poems except for " Deadly Obsession" which was posted on the site already ^^.. Hope you enjoy the read though. These may not be my best work, but they are short love poems that came to my mind. I do not normally write love poems of this manner, so tell me what you think of my approach to this style of writing. Poem 1- Senseless Her beauty radiant as sunshine brightens up my day at a glance But the eclipse called distances shadows her face from my sight Now like the sand runs down the hour glass so do the days erode in time Her voice distant like the echoes in the hollow mountain side Her smell as faint as moonlight on a Sunday morning Her tastes tingle my tongue and ride my taste buds throughout the day But they have ridden too far away now I might as well be dumb deaf and blind without her presence Tasteless to the pain and the scent of misery but a horror of yesterday For I wish I could at least go back to yesterday to imprint her face more deeply in my memory Smell the flavors of her bliss and grace one more time and taste the splendor of her love Maybe even roll the words “I love you” down her tongue into her heart Poem 2- Deadly Obsession This obsession has driven me into the darkest alley, but it was no accident Just a fateful coincidence that I fell in love And I now lay here dead because of the fateful wound it inflicted on me I am bleeding, slowly and I am dying ,this love will be the end of me For I am being reincarnated into a shell of my former self I have given up the ghost of apathy, take my spirit now my love For I would wage battles in an unforgiving hell for you I would crush all my inner demons and fears to be devoted to you Put away manly things so that our love will live forever young Forever young and forever growing, just like heaven intended it for us I know many men have called you angel my love, but they are demons in disguise plotting to clip your wings But I, my love ever sure will hold you in high esteem, you fly above me You are the only one who can take me to my true utopia I cannot rest in eternal happiness without you by my side Poem 3 – Picking the Right Flower You had me so confused at first, my head was spinning And every night I contemplated upon nothing Because nothing made sense at all when it came to you How I could have found so much hope in such a young flower freighted me I was afraid to pick the flower because I was afraid it would die in water alone So I became the soil I was afraid its young thorns would prick me, so I became invincible I was afraid it would wither and die too quickly so I watered it with feeling So great were my fears for the flower and myself I picked it, in order to protect it from worldly harm I love my little flower, among the weeds I found her And in my garden bed called a heart I will care her Poem 4- Our hearts She is the sun and I am the moon, that is why she is called dawn I was cold and alone, discovered by many but only claimed by one flag, and that is hers Without her I cannot shine through the darkest nights, without her I am a cold stone She does not outshine me, because her light is mine, and my darkness it cools her even in her hottest days Perfection was not intended for man, but it was intended for her My eyes view her as nothing less but the very queen she is And to my delight she refers to me as the king Our heart beats pace together the same way our feet step while we join hands When we spend time together no matter now far apart, I feel like I am bonding with her We share so much in just one touch, a simple glance can satisfy our hearts loneliness If she were to part from me somehow and her smile elude my gaze forever I would die, for all I live for would be gone and nothing would make sense in the world The feelings we share for each other are more than that of lovers, but soul mates Destined to live with each other, destined to be unable to live without the other.
