The Apathetic Flood If I tried to swallow the pride I’ve tried to accumulate after you disgraced me- -I would choke- Drowned by years of pain and emotional suicide, Drenched in tears of unfelt sorrow, Washed away by the fears of all those tomorrows Swamped by the tales of your return. Soaked in misery, of unknown love, Disdained by the tasteless manifestation of lies.
