Life's current is pulling me down, Trapping me in a web. Thoughts hurt like a bat to my crown, My will begins to ebb. I want to give in, Let the tide take me To hell because of my sin. An ocean of fire is all I can see. My soul will join the rest, Unseen from the herd, A feeling I detest. For my voice not to be heard. I must be something more, Let me ride the wave above them all. So my thoughts can be heard at shore, And written down for others to recall.
