Don't come to me with sorry lies And worked up pleas of self contempt. Ideally you'll never be to me, What I appeared to be to you And never, even since the day Have I ever looked behind and shown Any type of single remorse For my disownment of your life. I guess, and yes, I am the freak At least in your eyes, the same, the same, So take away the layers of layers And see beneath the fattened surface - I guess you'll see it if you can reach And see beyond the block to your toes. I guess you'll see if you truly can, You'll see that I am indeed better off as a friend Than as an enemy.
