I think if she wants to have short hair, sure. One of my friends has short hair. She is what you would call emo, I guess. Most emo hair is unisex anyways.

I have short hair and I pull off emo well. I'd like to grow it out though.

Doesn't matter, I don't think. you can have any type of hair and be "emo" it's just a label, isn't it?
