The acrid lies of those we love stab the heart like verbal daggers, Though the lies maybe dead and past, we study them like cadavers. Those lies, buried under the Carking sands of time, We examine with tenacity, Like the scene of a crime. All to oft’ ourselves we Falsely incriminate, Thus opening ourselves to turmoil That can grate! Lo! Why can’t this Feeling be entombed, Or are we forever To this way doomed?
