The Imminent Conversation Oct 27 2011, 08:23 PM

This is a poem I wrote for french class; the last poem I wrote at age 18. Vybz © October 27 2011 I speak to the night, And she responds to me With her noises; Her sounds: The whistle of her choir Of frogs and crickets Who serenade Those who slumber. I’m walking with the night, In her cold path, And she covers me; My black blanket. With her stars She tells me a story, The constellations show The life of the departed. I walk in the darkness And she embraces me The fireflies are the only lights Which guide me to my end I‘m speaking with the night, And she responds. I embrace the darkness, I am her star, And every night We listen to the angelic choir.
