Hey everyone... I'm just going to come out and say it, I don't consider myself emo, I cut but I don't think that truly completely means I should be labelled... Well I recently moved to a new school and I made a friend after a while, she was so nice at first I felt she was awesome and trustworthy and she was my best friend. But one day in wrestling we were going against each other and everyone had to watch, I was wearing a short sleeves shirt and as I went for her she stopped me and pulled my arm, I stumped toward and she started tracing up my cuts. I quickly pulled my arm back but there was enough time for her to yell out, "WHY ARE THERE SO MANY CUTS ON YOUR ARMS?!?" it turns out she's very anti-emo... Everyone else came to check and the teacher then got mad and sent me to the hall well he talked to everyone. This 'Friend' of mine won't stop following me now, using every chance she can to call me emo. I get called emo by all the jerk offs in my class and when my mum found out she got depressed. She's tried to get me on anti-depressence but seriously, what is with them, they don't work. They just make me not able to sit still. Can anyone help me with suggestions of how to stop people calling me emo and my mum from yelling? Thanks~

I would say stop cutting. It'll be hard, but people will stop thinking that you're Emo if your arms are clear. As for school, jerks will be jerks. Ignore them.

I don't think I can right now... I think I might try when my parents divorce is settled, but for now I need to find a different solution... Thanks for your replay :)

if you cut too hard,it'll leave scars,i cut two or three days ago and they're already starting to leave scars...o_// they probably won't go away for awhile...

maybe you should go to you "friend" and them how you feel and tell everyone to stop judging you because they don't even know what they're talking about. I would suggest also telling like an adult or someone at the school so maybe they can help.

I don't cut deep enough to bleed but I just surface cut and my bgf said everytime I draw on myself or cut myself he will ground me I have recently been grounded for six years total its actually helping me stop

I know this isn't helping you to stop... but for a temporary change cut on your thighs so they won't see them and they'll leave you alone...That doesn't mean you shouldn't try to stop... and Depression medication isn't working because more than likely you have borderline disorder... not depression, which they still prescribe anti-depressions for, but you're supposed to go to thereapy along with that...

Well I don't think people who are labeled as emo will ever find a place where someone doesn't call them names... like my school everyone even the little kids call me emo

You don't have to be emo to cut and you don't have to cut to be emo. Just be yourself. This so called friend of yours is being a jerk you need to tell her straight how you feel. And ignore the other jerks. As hard as it is. It'll get btter.
