In need of constructive criticism Dec 17 2011, 10:56 AM

This poem is meant to mean that sometimes its better to just let go. Please give some constructive criticism so I can improve it. The Question He runs, As fast as speed itself, Without even a backwards glance. He knows their closing in on him, He's running out of breath. It's not much longer now, He's nearly at his goal. Their hands reach out to grab him, Now its critical. Will this day be his last? He's nearly got away. He thinks about his home, His family and friends, All the things he left behind But that is another life, One he shall never live again. His mind snaps back from these thoughts, He realises the path ahead. Die now or live a miserable life? But which one did he choose? The honest answer is... I'm digging his grave.
