Fighting for my job Feb 21 2012, 12:46 AM

Hey all, Was just hoping you would have some ideas to help me keep my job, my contract is coming to its end and I have to run in an election to win my position of sabbatical president again. I have been rushed off my feet with meetings, election planning, conferences coming up and motion submission deadlines and I need ideas. I have to write a manifesto, it has to be short and sweet (not like my 3 page one last year) and I am going to put in what I have donw over the past year but I need to put in what I plan to do... I work at Coleg Gwent so a lot of structures are in place already, I have canteen focus groups with the managers, regular convosations with the seniour management teams and class reps, our societies haven't taken off so maybe I could push that next year? Anyway what goes on at your college or uni which makes it stand out? I need this job as my uni place is defered another year so I'm stuck... Any help appreciated!

Good societies where you can get to know other people with similar interests! I understand it can take a lot of effort to actually get societies popular though.. I joined a few at uni and glad I did :)

At the moment I have societies and working on my Usk campus as we are quiet there and just got an office there. I am going to run canteen focus groups and all my regular meetings too... I also have to find time to organize a cross campus campaign before the end of my term in office....
