Need you guys' help again!! Sep 15 2012, 06:25 AM

Hello all, in a bit of a predicament. So Im with my boyfriend again, nearly 3 months back together, but I've run into a slight problem. He's doing weed. Its pretty rare I guess, like once a month or so, but I really really don't like it :/ Like, we were at a party last night, having a great time, and then he lights up, and i feel really uncomfortable :/ I've tried talking to him about it but at the same time, i don't want him to feel like I'm controlling him, like i suppose it is his body and health hes messing with, but yeah....any suggestions what i should do??

Ask him to cut back, or if he likes smoking to smoke cigs instead sometimes. Explain that you're not trying to control him and that you're just worried about him. He should understand, but the best thing to do is always talk. If you don't talk to eachother or feel you can't talk then your relationship can go downhill quickly. Hope that helps x

Well personally i wouldnt mind if he did weed. But i think you should tell him that it bothers you. But please dont try it.If you do try it dont till youre 18. P.S. not promoting drug use but cannabis has no proven side effects and is better for you than soda. also it is used to treat asthma.(just some fun facts)

Tell him it bothers you a bit rather than saying nothing. However be prepared he most likely won't just give up and I'd just accept that if he isn't doing it that often..

Ur in a relationship now so you have the right to tell him that you dont like it, to be honest if I had a girlfriend ide feel the same way, and serously dont tell him to start cigs as a replacement, cigs are even worse than weed. Just talked to him about it and see wat happens! it wont kill him if he stops :)

i've got the same situation yet my boyfriend does it most weekends and he knows i don't like it. I wouldn't go with what people say it all depends on how much you want to be with him cause if so you should hopefully be able to knock of the odd fault with him. I mean yeah don't get me wrong it'll probably always bug you it get to me still at times. but the drugs being the only big thing and that i know he won't stop i've just come to try and live with it If you think you won't be able to just live with it however then yes probably best to leave him as he may not be willing enough to stop. (and don't thin kif he says he won't stop he doesn't love you, i'm pretty sure my boyfriends loves me to peaces but the drink the drugs he won't stop for me)

Forgot to add like yeah as people have said tell him how you feel otherwise he'll never know he may think your perfectly fine and it's not controlling at all, it's letting him know how you feel which is required if you want a relationship to work. As said maybe ask him to cut down maybe.. consider yourself a bit lucky he's only doing it once or month or so, in my opinion, is not bad at all. i'ld be perfectly find if my boyfriend would cut down to doing it every month. I mean if he won't stop then just ask him to say when he's doing it so you know when to not see him and just not think about him or the drugs and just have a you day :)
