Time slips away As the day bows down to the darkness I hold on to the pain As the moments of joy fade Away From it all, Away from them all I drift away As gravity seems to tug my soul From all of those smiles That I did enjoy to see. My past slips under my feet Like the shadows of those passersby I barely greet No longer No longer do you smile At least, not like before No longer do I hear your voices Echoing in my mind Alone- I Am Alone In this dark cave Of my heart With only my solitary echo I call out, Like the lone wolf Weak and in pain You hear... You respond But I”m never rescued So As time slips away I hold on to the reigns of those memories When love did exist And I’ll fight gravity Riding my way back to My place in this world...
