They were there the year i was born And they spent all that time waiting for me But they gave up Just before i finally arrived. I had not at fist realised that they were no longer there It came as quite a shock to me when i realised they had gone It felt like i had been shot Like what i most enjoyed And what inspired me to do some thing i love Was now empty and meaningless. I know i must recover I know i must find again what i have lost But how will i find it and when will it be there. Such questions are of the kind that are impossible to answer. Perhaps one should keep listening to words that have already been said For they still hold meaning. But i have contradicted myself. The more i let myself dwell on the subject The more complex becomes the maze i've built in my own head The more difficult it becomes to escape. Perhaps i am simply afraid of finding something i love and then losing it again. Perhaps something else brilliant is just around the corner. A corner that i am to scared to look around. A corner much like the one that fist led me to them Or rather their traces in the dust. But i feel as if i have been left in a deep forest. Where there are no roads and so no corners to step around. I must find my way through the twisted, pale trees and go to where they lead. And eventually They will lead me to where i belong.
