Being part of the emo scene will hopefully make people feel they fit in and have people with similar interests to talk to, etc. Everyone should just be themselves and feel comfortable with who they are.

Have to agree with Matt here. Although I hate labels, prefer to be an individual and have no desire to be a sheep. I do like to know and associate with people who have similar interests, thoughts and desires. I won't change myself for anyone other than myself, and I always try to be a little different to anyone else. However I have found great friends and great comfort within the Emo community and I believe it helps an individual draw strength from knowing that others have similar thoughts, ideas and interests as themselves. I know that may sound a contradiction, but one can be an individual and still be part of a community as well.

i dont really like lables but i have to agree this the emo/scene or just emo fashion i have found more people like me and i actually fit in... lol

In a way that's what it is all about. Being around people with similar interests, getting on well and having a good time. A bit of variety is still obviously important though.

yeah i have also found and met people with similare problems as me and we try and help each other through it not like in other steriotypes... thats what ive found x

Yea a lot of the time people with similar problems can help each other through them. It is also important to remember sometimes you can make each other worse...like in any scene/stereotype etc though.

It really is xD Well it's hard sometimes, we can't help it but to not listen to people who are just repeating what we said to them when they were depressed or whatever. Oh well.
