This band has become extremely popular recently. Do they deserve to be? I get the impression they are well respected and don't get much stick unlike say another polular band like MCR.

A7x Are Pretty Cool, I Went To One Of Their Concerts A While Ago, So Worth It. Its Unfair That MCR Get All The Stick Though.

yeh i think they do, they do good songs and some of them are ptetty varied, yeh thats true they dont get any stick unlike mcr, wonder why this is??

I too, love this band and yes they get a lot less stick then MCR but it's just as well because Avenged Sevenfold are better. Much better.

do people prefer a7x older stuff or their newer stuff? as its quite different...well it is to me anyways

Yeah it's a lot lighter to be honest, whilst still being heavy. In some ways I prefer City Of Evil but in others I like their most recent one. All in all, they are just great! :D

Oooh! In a good way I mean :P Av7x are good, but in the way that I think MCR are better.. Could be that I've been listening to them for quite the while and still am new to Av7x :P

anyone know why avenged sevenfold use the shorten term 'a7x' by the way? dont understand it as theres no 'X' in avenged sevenfold! lol random but always confused me :S

I don't know.. A7x .. The first thing (which is probably WRONG) that comes to meh mind when I thought of it, is that the -x is a little typical emo signature.. Like you see loads of people of emo background (or whatever I'm gonna call it, I dunno xD) you see them having an -x in their nickname.. So perhaps that?

X symbolizes a fold. You can fold the shape of the letter X, unlike for example an A or B. Random but it's what came to mind.
