I gaze outside the window sill And outside I see the world looking ill. Filled by all the late and lies, no one is safe outside. The world is filled of death and crying, People faintly sighing, Buying into all the lies, buying into their demise Demise of following in the norm D you think following the norm will save you form harm? It’s just a self illusion u make, but inside I know you hate. I know you hate this very world; I know you don’t really appreciate Because when I look outside I see, people who are just lost like me So why do you look so bright, I know u really want to stay inside I look at you all so cheery and happy, sappy, slobs of yourself Ignoring all the surrounding chaos and hell. But I’m fine; I’ll sit inside my little box I’ll be safe from the pain and loss, safe from my own dark thoughts. Maybe I might just sit and cry Because all I ever wanted is to go outside Outside is where the sun shines, not here in my dark mind. Sometimes, I wish I would just fit And society wouldn’t place me as a misfit Maybe if I stay here and hide they’ll for get I’m even inside But maybe I will go out and play, and finally enjoy the light of day But right now, I’m lost in my mind Wishing hoping I’ll be fine But I’m fine, I don’t need the world Nor does the world need me I think I’m happy if people just leave me be.
