I am 25 and can still be classed as 'emo', but society isn't always that accepting of alternative styles. As a result you are pressured in a way to grow out of it.

Depends on the person realy.. or what you do for a living, or what's happening around you. Everything that happens in life changes you and that could mean growing out of being emo, or whatever.

When I mentioned society I was really referring to the workplace. Some jobs are fine with alternative styles while you feel uncomfortable in others.

Well the way i see it if you like being emo why stop? on the other hand if u dun like being emo i don't see why you wont eventualy grow out of it

nope, i actually liked emo since the begining of this trendy style. and i gonna like it the next 200 years people criticize and say we dont have a life, or its to frecky and weirdy, or the only thing we know is cutting etc... its not true it can be hella fun to belong to an emo community , and to be an emo , without putting and notice to any one. 4 years for me the next to come...

some people can depending on what they want to do when they get older.but then again some people stay emo cause they want to.i plan on not growing out of being emo.

Hm I think that some people do when they get older.. I, as 21 years old, don't see me going "normal" any day soon.... I might change my style a bit over the years, but I think I will always be alternative
