Hey, I'm sure everyone here has heard of self-harm and the effects it can have on a sufferers life as well as their family and friends. As a few of you know I have been a bit proactive in the fight of self-harm being admitted to hospital myself, talking to the BBC and setting up a series of awareness websites. In my latest try to bring awareness to people about self-harm/injury/mutilation, what ever you want to call it, I have sent a petition to 10 Downing Street for approval to make March 1st Self-Harm Awareness Day, if it gets approved I just want to know if you would actually like to sign the petition. March the first was chosen because the American Government has itself been petitioned to make this day a Self-Harm Awareness Day, we hope it becomes an international day bringing self-harm into perspective and making it less of a taboo subject. I just made a video to help the campaign, you can make better ones and show them then feel free and please do so, it's more than worth it!! Hope it's some good.

I thought that but then again everything will be done for the next few months so nothing would be done for a while anyway, and with January depression can settle in so it may be an idea then. Just be persistant.

i think its a very good idea and i can see where your coming from and i can also see the people who hurt themselves i can see why they do it. It actually makes you feel human like you are real and you are human and you are alive it reminds you that no matter how much people isolate you and hate you that you are still human and are still like them. I know this because i used to give myself eraser burns but my best friend helped me and so now i dont do that anymore but the urge is still there. and when you stop the urge isnt easier to deal with you have all the time even when you are hurting yourself its always there and when you stop it just becomes stronger. and when you hurt yourself you push others away whether you mean to or not. Its very hard to live with and still like yourself and not hurt yourself. Self harm is a silent addictation its just as bad a crack or heroin and just as hard to stop.
