[ask] singing techniques with a high voice Jan 19 2010, 05:18 AM
I want to ask you I have a Screamo band and me as a vocalist I always hear Alesana's and killing me inside's songs and the vocalist has a very high voice but I can not sing with a high voice like that who can give me how to sing with high voice technique?? thanks before ... hhehehe .. sorry.. my english isn't good

i have the same problem, i have a low voice, high notes are very hard for me. with loads of practise you can increase your range, i've got about 2 extra top end tones from when i started. best pollicy is to work with what you got. and work on what you want ;)

I have a bass voice, and I can sing like soprano notes. Its best to just practice some scale and see how high you can go. You need to get used to singing in a high register. BUT I DON'T ADVISE YOU TO TRY THIS UNLESS YOUR VOICE IS SETTLED PROPERLY OR YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR VOICE FOR EVER.

@vybz how long did it take you before you could sing that high out of your natural range confidently?

Try to go to a voice training course. try to watch a voice training courses on youtube etc.. eat & drink healthy things like vegetables...orange and tomato juice etc.
