I'm really scared because I've been (unknowingly) coughing alot for the last 8 months (according to my parents), it started when I got something tht the ER doctors just passed off as the "flu" but my parents are starting to reconcider wat it really was and they want to take me back to the doctor (but since ive had it for 8 months i doubt tht its something contagious) and its really scaring me. i have no idea wat it could be... and you cant get lung cancer if u dont smoke... can you? wat do u think it cud b

smoking is not the only cause for cancer sickness, i would take your parents advice and go check myself.

ya i kinda figured tht but i have to let scars lighten before i do anything but tht shud only take like 2 or 3 more days

Well go as soon as possible and it's likely to be some infection and you'll have to take some sort of medicine. Hope all goes ok.

thanks for the concern and ill probally go sometime this week or get locked in my room cuz my dad finds it rather annouying but i find it kinda funny how its ok when im outside and its warm (still coughing but not as bad) then ill walk into the house and enter a coughing spell

My mom says shes going to get it checked up when she gets my physical done in a few months but the cough is kinda lightening up cuz for the most part i can fight the cough now and i havent had an actual coughing spell but like twice today

thanks nick and my mom some how got me prescription pill things tht so far are working amazingly well i have an urge to cough but its like its not aloud to come out

i had the same issue it was really annoying and a bad problem honestly at the end, i just drinked 15 cups of tea and hunny bee on a toast... couple of pills..and alot of sleeping. and thats it, a week after a brand new person.

lol but for me tht consist of sleeping even tho im home from school today so i can sleep (aproved by office) id still miss to much school which is bad cuz we have our state test tht determine whether we pass the yr or not are next friday but now im up and wide awake which sucks cuz i wanna sleep for once

what why didint you tell me this? :O well n coughing can come from all signs of things if your around smokers for a long period of time it can adapt to lung cancer or brungcitious <== dont know how to spell but mainly thats what it is that word up there^<but they will give you an inhaler and this other thing and some pills it should help with your cough shouldnt be anything serious...... i love you court and we need to hang out more btw

ahh no the coughing went away right around our first TAKS but now its back... I doubt its bronchitis because my step dad is quiting smoking and never did it around us my step mom is around me right now and she smokes but i hold my breath when I am around her andx its not bad when she does it... would Asthma have anything to do with it because I have never been tested

it might be a viral infection like i had once, ugh it was terrible, i couldn't sing for months and had to rehabilitate myself to sing again. ooooh i hope your ok nikki, feel better soon :) and tested for diabetes...man i was tested not long ago and found out i was borderline type 2. i have to take pills now, wish you luck.

if anything id be type one... and if your borderline type two wouldnt that make you type one?? and i doubt its a viral infection

no it doesn't work that way i don't think, i think type 1 is when ur sugar gets too low and type 2 is when your sugar gets too high.

no type one is where you have to moniter it constantly and type two is where your body basically quit making insiln for whatever reason

hm? ok i'm confused, i'll just leave it to the doctors to do whatever, all i know is that they said i'm borderline type 2. :) and soon i'll be off to the doctors again where they will attempt to hold me down cuz what they want to do to me i'm certainly not letting them ;)

no they wanna take like five tubes of blood which is alrite cuz it doesn't hurt me, but i dnt like cuz they take too much blood. and they keep trying to do ultra sounds and pelvics but i won't let them, is too painful.
