Burned my heart in your flame How could I've been so lame? No matter what I do now My life would never be the same Why did I allow myself to Surrender my soul to you?! How could you dare pretend to come here for a rescue?! Did you come here to watch me Slump all the way down?! Asphyxiating, suffocating me Descending as I drown I can still feel it inside Like it was yesterday The desiderata, the ecstasy Taking all my conviction away You've paralyzed my thought Played me for a fool But your game is over now It is my time to rule & Now that your sins Have proffered to testify Keep your lips zipped up 'cause you just can't justify How would the right thing Have felt so wrong?? How was I able to Believe you all along?? Breaking down apart Every time I reminisce the past I know one thing for sure You were my first & you are the last Is it true love is once in a lifetime? Or am I just "stuck inside my shell"?! I can't take risks anymore I just can't bear this hell I vowed I'll vamoose Like I never knew you ever Still you're right there clattering That it can last forever! Yet I'm here thousand miles away Restrained beneath my gray sky You won't strove for me, I know And consequently I won't cry What was between us once will not be regained We shall never ever meet again & Soon enough my soul will be put to rest & eventually leave this world of decay... ------

That was AMAZING!! i LOVE it!! that was one of the best poems i've ever read!! i think this may be my favourite poem of all time!! :D Great job!
