Maybe some things are best left behind, And I know I need to leave a lot. Those things you most want to keep, Are the things you must leave to be. Have heart in the fact that I am here, And will never have to go away. You should see things but you don't - It's these things in me you don't see. You must understand that I am here, And am not likely to be going. Believe in yourself for you, And let go of what you want to keep. Even though I don't appear to be, And my voice and words escape your ears. Don't be fooled by my silence, For I am here, though I am not. Believe in the fact that I exist, that I'm permanently by your side. My foot prints lay side to yours, And tread on-wards through your life. Not always what I appear to be, But no figment of your ruined mind. I stand tall where others bow, And succeed where others fail. No, I cannot fix everything, Nor can I chase the demons away. I show support when needed, And let you piece you together. So, you know now that I'm not perfect, Not that I ever claimed such. I appear when you need me, But disappear when you succeed.
