a third poem by anonymous Nothing is ever what it seems, I see her when I'm awake and in my dreams, She screams for help but I just sit there and cry, I'm not strong enough to save her, I dont even try, He leaves her bleeding on the inside and out, In those moments I learned what the worlds truely about, Crawling over to her I hold her tight, We lay cuddled, crying together on the floor all night, Two years go by and she lives her life this way, She promised she'd always be there for me come what may, In the end though she couldnt escape her fate, This is why I've become so filled with hate, I should've been strong and let her get the help she needed, Instead I begged her not to leave me, I pleeded, So she promised to me she'd find her way back, But at the time her mind was altered by the crack, Like hands, visions of her death grab at my throat, Tears escape my eyes as I read the last letter she wrote, O from these awful memories I beg to be set free, I can take no more, please someone hear my plea, ******** is my last standing hope, It is the one thing enabling me to cope
