For the last 2 and a half years ive been in a complicated realtionship with a girl older then me by 5years... shes 27. I love her to bits, and shes my best friend. But as much as i love her i just dont want to be in a realtionship with her because i dont feel quite ready for where this was heading, and i dont want to waste her time with me because im not sure if il ever be ready for her... and i dont want to lead her on when she could be meeting someone who cann give her the commitment she deserves. Weve been trying to be just freinds for a year now. But its been difficult because the feelings exist and its just fealt like being in a relaitonship even just as freinds. So as of 2weeks ago we decided it would be best not to talk for a while to see how we get on. And she needs to get over me. But she broke the rules and yesterday said that she would rather have me as a best freind again even tho it hurts not to be more then to have nothing at all, and i would love that but i worry shes going to just hold out in hope for me :s So i dont know whether to just go with it or to just keep the distance for a bit more. shes the most amazingist person ever. the purest heart ive ever seen. i feel like such a prick letting her go but it just doesnt feel right for me. and my gut instinct says shes not the one i want to end up with. :/ anyone been in anything similar and what was the outcome? or any opinions on this?
