NUS Elections (UK) Mar 09 2011, 07:21 AM

Hey everyone. I work as a Student Officer for NUS at my college, next month we have a national conference which will see the election of full time officers such as Welfare, LGBT, BEM, and Further Education (FE). How many of you actually know about your college or university union? How many of you are affilated to NUS and know that this affects you? As I work in FE I am really interested in the election of the new VP FE, a friend is running for the position and I want to know what you think about the elections and their campaigns. At the moment only VP FE candidates have debated so far (http://www.nusconnect.org.uk/news/article/nus/1641/) At your college/uni deligates will be elected to represent you and elect people to there positions. I want to try and get people more involved with NUS and their unions in the run up to my own election (I'm running for president of my union). Tell me what you think of NUS and Student Unions (SU) in general, if you have any questions just post them below.
