Just that black girl{{ Free Verse}} Jun 22 2011, 03:27 PM

Judgmental... never giving me a break. Never seeing me for who i am. just that black girl or my personal favorite... nxgger girl. no one understands that my heart cringes every time someone says that word. Im not "black" enough to hang with the black kids but im black so im not accepted by those who arent. so where do i stand? in the middle. by myself. reaching out for someone to get to know ...me. the real me. how is it possible that i try my VERY best to be nonjudgmental but people dont care. Everyone wants to be accepted no matter if you believe it or not , so why do we hate, look at others with a judging eyes but yet fearing the judging eyes of another... Is it fair to say what the fuck? its funny how easily people let racist words slip of their lips. "Go get some fried chicken, nxgger... want some watermelon?... yo you drinkin kool-aid."? NO! Im a fucking vegetarian... watermelon tastes like gritty water... and no i prefer 100% juice. not something that taste like mop water , fruit and sugar! But if you really cared to get to know me... you'd already know that...asshole. And if it isn't any worse, im not a size 0 so now im a girl who never does anything but eat...but if you really knew me. I never eat... ive had 3 eating disorders and theres no such thing as self-esteem in my world... but if you cared to know me... you'd understand that. But why do I complain... It's not like anything is ever going to change. I'm always gonna be that emo black girl that no one cares to understand...cares to listen to...

*snaps fingers in approval* i'm feeling this one sista. Let this sort of treatment build your self-esteem in stead of break it; what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. You can let it kill you if you want, but, you can also let it build you. Fight through this disgusting discrimination, find yourself and be you- forget the haters, you'll find people ( if you haven't already) who love you for you. Peace and love Vybz x
