First off, let me say that I'm new. It's awesome if you want to add me and I hope you all enjoy my style of poetry. If you haven't noticed. I like to put allusions to song lyrics in my works and I also like my poetry to have a "simple" meaning and a "deeper" meaning. Live for Tomorrow This pain I feel is indescribable to the human mind. If everyone felt this pain, it would end human kind. Ghastly endeavors sweep their bloody hands at me. Darkness feels my minds eye, where I can’t see. God help me with this wretched curse. The pain I feel is only getting worse. I can’t escape from what lies within my self. It needs to be over, to save my health. I hear the serpent, slide and rattle. I lost the fight, and I’m losing the battle. Cleanse me of this putrid sorrow. So I can live again. Live for tomorrow. Infected We were the last to survive this horrible fate. A poor circumstance, drug you to their grave. Now that I’ve lost you it kills me to say, I tried to hold on but you slowly slipped away. Your mouth now rots the air you used to breathe. To see beauty fade to gray hurts more than you’d believe. Outnumbered I am. No cures have been found. The only weapon is one that is faith bound Whomever finds themselves weak shall perish, Your now an enemy no longer cherished. I’ve learned in life, those who slay together. Are the same people who stay together. Against me you stand diseased and infected. You-(Metaphorically of course) Harbinger of death. Bringer of pain. Theif of last breathe. Fallen of name. Summoner of sorrow Idle of things Lips of marrow Bearer of dark wings Betrayer of truth Plagued of dead Desecrator of youth Phage of walking dread Gorgan of stone Ghost of haunting Destroyer of bone Demon of taunting Siren of no sleep Ringer of bells Horror that creeps. Teller of crypt tales Man is Machine You young gentlemen, do you think you are great? I’ve seen the vast robotics that you create. Your skills, your traits are exceptionally nice Do you think in generations, it’ll suffice? You assembled them to fulfill their purpose. Just as God has done for the likes of us. Meant to serve our creator, we must comply. For both man and machine, be lost if they deny. Machines do what is needed to adjust. Man is not so different, indeed they lust. There in need of battery, you’re in need of sleep Both of you would be done without it in a week. You are no different than the machines you make The gears shutdown just like your bones break. This, our remarkably ill guided connection The cross between man and machine is deception. System failure, all akin to insanity Technology gets replaced, so does humanity.
