I'm not sure if there has been a thread about this before, but I'm too lazy to check, and I see it mentioned a lot, but not discussed in detail. So, I come today bearing one question. How do you cope when your life takes a solid U-turn? I've always been a funny person (,or so I've been told.),so naturally whenever things start to take a turn for the worst, I unleash the jokes. This usually helps get me through the days when it starts to pile on, and once I'm finally alone I just think about what's happening. I try to be rational, a completely drastic change from how I act around my friends. So, how do YOU deal with the worst life's got?

Well when I'm around people I'll avoid the problem slyly, but that night I go home and think about the bad things happening and I get in the shower and have a nice healthy cry. (:

Um, I used to joke around a lot when I was in the 8th grade. Whenever something bothered me, I just laughed it all off at school and then got all depressed at home. And then, I had an epiphany(I guess you can call it that). I figured I was only doing myself more harm than good by not showing my true colors. So, I am now blunt and upfront about how I'm feeling. If I'm pissed off I'll tell my friends "Leave me alone. I'm not in the mood." And they respect that. If anything, I've made MORE friends by being honest...than when I was bottling everything up. That was my U-turn...but, it was a turn for the good :)

I hide... I can't stand people, unless it's a very specific person that I know can help me. I don't like being touched by anyone. I become a complete recluse. And I have to hide to put my mind back together, to cope. But I've found it always takes someone else to come into my life and make it better... I can't make it better on my own. I suffer from constant loneliness and so I completely embrace it until someone puts me back on my feet again

I like being alone when I'm upset or hurt, so I'll just sit in my room and listen to music. It might not be a healthy solution, but it gets me through life...
