Metal/Metalcore/deathcore/death metal/black metal what ever stupid subgenre you give it, metal is METAL. Me personally I like slow songs just as much, but Heavy Metal is my cup of ass kicking energy drink so to speak. Just curious as to what other Metalheads out there are listening to. Depends on what you call Metal and what another person calls metal. Personally I don't consider myself a metalhead but it's a catagory that I suppose I would fall into. However I don't consider screamo and metalcore actual metal since it's not got the emotion and the following that real metal has. It seems to be more corporate rock music designed for sales rather than something that's put thought and care into it. I suppose a fitting explanation would be the incredibly cheesy but highly accurate Manowar song.

gotta love metal hahaha metallica got me into metal so i have to thank them but i love all this shizz and other music aswell like in the wholse metal andf rock and screamo and shizz

not to be the music nazi but if you want to talk heavy metal, that'd be stuff like Death, Cannibal Corpse, and possibly even Black Dahlia the band you posted isnt heavy metal. :/

Then what would it be? I call it Metal, nowadays music is subdefined into so many pointless genres that every band has its own personal genre which is dumb as hell, this is technically "deathcore" which is an combination of death metal with metalcore or hardcore punk, note the word "METAL". This is the branch off of older music. In my book it's metal cause subdefining has become a pointless internet argument between little wannabe know-it-alls. All in all it is metal in one way or another.

id just call it music lol genre labeling is highly retarded because people like to get all bent about it but i agree about the deathcore statement. most "true metalheads" will sit and argue there's no relation between the two but if you pay attention to the roots and the sound, the connection is clear as day

:D <3 anyway even the singer of Metallica wore a t-shirt when he was in Sweden quite recently that shows support for this new awesome swedish metal band :') i am so hyped up about them supporting In Flames soonish :D <3 wiiiiiiiiiiiiiii :P x
