Its very tedious to click "delete" and "confirm delete" or whatever it says over and over and over...getting rid of old messages one...by one...by one...maybe a way to select more messages at once would be helpful? It would make people more inclined to delete their old stuff, thus taking a load off the server.

This is now coded in for your private messages. It might be added to other areas of the site later. Just tick the boxes next to the messages you want to delete then click the "Delete Selected" button :)
