Foreign Exchange Students? Sep 07 2011, 04:23 PM
Okay so im basically making this because my friend might go to Sweden next year as a foreign exchange student (Lucky whore!) And i wanted to know if anyone has had a foreign exchange student in their school..? if so, how did you feel about it? have you ever been a foreign exchange student? okay.. end of thread.. im so happy i could probably go on for days

i did foreign exchange to manitoba, it was really tough, i lived with people i hated and i was so isolated living out on a farm with no transport, but at the same time, i met some really amazing people people who im still besties with now and im soo much of a better person for the experience. soo yer lucky her :)

My school's integrated, I can't tell the difference. xD I think we had foreign exchange program last year though. It's a pretty cool thing. :P

We had like 30 french year 7 kids come to my school last year, they seemed pretty happy and it was fun to shout out random french words to them XD

We have a kid from Jordan (who is pretty cute), a kid from Brazil, a kid from France, a few kids from Afria... We have quite a few with it being so close to the biggest army base in the world

I had one live in my house, my family was his host family. He was from Hong Kong. It was really cool, I learned a lot that year about his culture, and he learned a lot about ours. My family is even still in touch with him, and that was about five years ago
