Deadly Sin #2 (song): Invidia (Envy) Oct 11 2011, 07:57 PM
Firstly, be aware that I write for a deathcore band, meaning screams, growls, heavy dual guitars, and a double bass drum... if you would like to give constructive criticism you are more than welcome but PLEASE be familiar with the deathcore genre. Thanks :D This is the first song in a series of 7 that I plan on writing, each for one of the deadly sins. It may be interpreted in anyway you want, religiously or socially or what ever you want it to be. I am in fact Christian, but in no way was this written as a "praise Jesus" type song... I actually find that genre of music both cliche and boring. This is for the 6th Deadly Sin, Envy, I chose to share this one because I like that it's one of my shorter songs so here you go: Invidia(Envy): With needle and wire I take to the eyes Of he who holds such despise Toward every man with a golden prize Self despise, terrorize A man yet to realize The gifts given by mortal lives Curse he who cannot be satisfied Eyes, open your wretched eyes Judgment is inevitable Time is only a factor Blind the eyes that chain you down Last chance for paradise With needle and wire I sow them shut Blind. (I plan on sharing a few more, I have just yet to decide which ones are my best work and worth sharing... so keep an eye out [: )

Judgment is inevitable Time is only a factor I love that part x) It's awesome. "Alerion" by Asking Alexandria only has 7 lines. But it's a great song :) So, this is another short but good sounding song :) (Lust is still my favorite one though xD Maybe it's the breakdowns)

I actually have one even shorter than this which is Gluttony. Greed, and Sloth used up a ton of my imagination so I had to make Gluttony VERY short.
