I've tried to look into your eyes to see that light that was once there. I tried to reach for your hand like you were still here. Yet my eyes fell on a facade and my hands scrapped your ghost. Days grew to weeks and the weeks grew to months and the months grew to years. To what end does this meaningless prose reach? I'm too scared to look into the mirror knowing what I'll see. Soon the day came whence I could further myself from something I first saw as positive but then realized the negativity you represented. I was scared to leave yet joyful to wave goodbye. I knew what you've done and that was the pushing factor... ...As you lived, I died each day... Each week. Each month. Each year. And with each confrontation was another knock down. Denial always was your predominate trait. As you would forget, I would never try to... ...For I am born from the blood of my father's sin. Neither proud, nor resentful... ...For I know what I will be. Something you never were.
