Okay i gotta question... For the past month or two I've been into self harm (cutting) and I have BIG scars on my arms and everyone notices them...well everyone besides my mom. I guess I should be happy about that, but instead she makes me feel like she could care less about me which makes me feel really depressed so I wanna cut myself even more :/ So.. Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Cause right now I'm so lost!

You need to talk to your mom. My parents were the same way, and the one time they did see them they brushed it off, but now that I'm like three months clean, they say stuff about how all my friends cut themselves and stuff and are completely oblivious to the problems I had... If you talk to her you'll be better off in the long run... also start wearing a jacket or something around your mates, so you don't get shit for having scars.

I have struggled with self harm since I was twelve. My legs and arms and even my stomach is covered in huge scars. I can't wear a swimsuit without people staring and asking questions. My dad didn't figure out for years, but when he did he cried, and my dad and I aren't even close. He doesn't know how to be a dad, with out being to violent. With that being said, I know how you feel, and I promise you, if you talk to your mum, you will feel a thousand times better. Remember, cutting is an addiction and I advise you get some therapy to overcome it. I know I couldn't do it on my own, you need to learn to love yourself, and feel beautiful with the skin you are in. There is nothing wrong with who you are, don't let anyone ever tell you any different.
