I know what it’s like To never sleep To ache in bed And pray for peace. I know what it’s like To lie awake And Cry Silently. I know what it’s like No escape: Awake- Asleep- Alive- Dead- I know what it’s like To never dream To be trapped in peril. Nightmares Screams. I know what it’s like To hear my heartbeat In my head In my thoughts Constantly. I know what it’s like To dream Awake Trapped in the limbo Of the nightmare’s wake.
