It started as just another day, like countless I had seen. Just the same old little slur, with some food stuck in between. Then this little black haired boy smiled, and said hello to me. And I could feel compassion, and so much positivity. You said your name, and told me, you hadn’t seen me here before. And we became friends although, the many miles between our doors. And we talked and chatted, from very early, till so late. We spoke of everything we could think of, from what we love, to what we hate. And then you started to tell me, about the people who did you wrong. And I listened to you wondering, how you could have been so strong. But I guess you cried for hours, although you didn’t let it show. Always so happy, and so cheery, when you sounded your hello. But one day the act just broke, you were so tired and so sad. And your sister found you laying, in a bathtub filled with red. Oh when I heard the news, I could not believe it was true. But I guess you had me fooled, with a mask I can’t see through. And I guess you were just to broken, you were down and you were out. Just too sad to dream again, and to scared to speak out loud. But yet you did your best to make me smile and wanna sing. Oh Skyler, I would cry you a river, if crying would solve anything.
