I found the perfect guy <3 He's a tattoo artist and is covered in tattoos and piercings. He's the hottest thing ever. Sadly, my BITCH of a Sister and Mother are all grouchy about our age difference and don't even realize that for once in my life, I'm happy. My Daddy for once is okay with it but I think that's because I didn't say his exact age. I don't personally think age is anything but a number but others are on my back about this shit and I don't see what's wrong with it. It would be an issue if he pressured me into shit but he is really, really shy and very respectful. Not to mention IN LOVE WITH ME!!! <3 So is such an age difference a bad thing or am I right?

It shouldn't really come into relationships if you two truly love each other. But as you said if he pressures you and say your under-age then that is a problem as it would be breaking the law so if that's the case be very carful . also it can be seen as odd by society and some people but overall age has little or no bearing on a relationship =)

Yeah, I don't really care about the law unless it put's me or others in danger but I am careful. I look older too so I don't think randoms will care when we walk down the streets together. But we're in love and I think that's all that matters. <3

I have the same problem. Me and Kenny have been together for almost 6 months now. My mother and stepfather try to keep us seperate because of our age difference. It wasnt his fault he fell for me, I have orginally told him i was 16 when i was 14. I pulled the age difference off. But trust me, just be with who you want to be with. Come time youre 18, it wont matter! :D

It depends. As long as you wait until you are of legal age to do anything sexual, its fine. If not, then it is against the law and can hurt the older person more than anything. This particular type of law is there so that older people do not take advantage of teens or anyone younger than that even, since yall have those hormones racing and want to be loved and treated special. Its hard to put anything like that aside to think properly about any consequences at those young ages. So laws on age difference help to protect you from those that would take advantage, because it does happen. Some are very good at it. Even the sweetest of us can be secretly awful. Ive seen it personally many times and had it happen to me even. Ive also been badgered by younger people to date them, saying age doesnt matter etc. Trying to make me feel bad about refusing due to age. It does matter to the adult, who can be put and jail and have their life ruined just being breaking that law. Its easy to say age is nothing but a number when you dont have your life to lose in the ways the one breaking the law does. BUT, if yall actually love eachother and are willing to wait to do anything sexual until youre of legal age of consent, then more power to ya. Itll be worth that wait.

No problems if it's legal and you have developed a strong bond. Also as others have mentioned if you are quite near "the age of content" and can wait that's fine. However for example in my opinion a 14 year old girl should be very careful dating a guy 16+ (basing this on the UK law where the age of consent is 16) If you are in the UK read more here as some people don't know all the facts.. I understand the laws are different Worldwide so Google them if you don't know (this is to everyone not just you topic started person)

Legal age for sex in Tassie is 17+ and im turning 16 in June! Fuck!!! I barley get to see him, anyway so I don't think we'd be able to do anything.

Well, I am 28 and my boyfriend is 19. Before we came together, I even dated a 17 year old... I don't know, I somehow like younger boys... o.o Anyway, his family had nothing against our relationship and he said he wanted an "older" girlfriend anyway. So, everything fits and we are very happy.
