Personally, I can't stand the newer crap like PTV, sws, botdf. Scuzz plays the new crap and kerrang is already dead. Thank fudge for YouTube. This is the old stuff scuzz needs to bring back.

try searching the smaller bands and the lesser knowns and you stand a better chance of finding the good stuff. also alot of the old more traditional styled 'emocore' music is now nearly all underground based so it takes a good while of searching away from main stream /mains stream sites to find it. good place to start your search is with the small record labels or your local independent record store or try music sites such as soundcloud :)

i listen both old and new stuf... thing is that today the new bands seem to speak just abt sexuality , or most of their lyrics truely have no meaning at all...... still, i must confess i listen some of them too....

It really depends on the band... Why shouldn't there be any good bands nowadays? You just have to look for them! There are still bands with profound lyrics and good music.

I prefer the older stuff mostly because I grew up listening to it and cause I think the more popular stuff of the time (like MCR) was better than the more popular stuff now. But most of the old bands are still around and still making good music, and there are plenty of good new bands too even if they're not the most popular ones.

I was just thinking bout this earlier old music is so much better most the band I lisin to I really don't lisin to there new stuff I lisin to like there first or second cd good music used to come out all the time a few years ago now its hard to find.
