Depression and Anxiety are taking over again:( Feb 06 2014, 01:32 PM
So hia,I have been struggling with depression since age 11 and anxiety my whole life.They went away for a bit,but now there back,and stronger than ever,my thoughts control my actions.I even started online schooling so I wouldn't have to get mean comments/see my old friends.I was just wondering if there's ANY advice or websites/books that are helpful with these things,or any coping skills you guys use when/if your struggling.Comments would mean alot,thanks(:.

Try getting involved with stuff you like, surround yourself by people who like the same things as you, when people are depressed they often forget not everyone is out to get them, when you feel the urge of an anxiety attack or sadness try going for a walk, or go for a run, hit a punching bag, write, draw, get new hobbies or volunteer, keeping yourself busy will keep your mind off things. The more you get out there, the more friends you're going to make, and you'll have new people to talk to and less time to feel sorry for yourself, but always remember, suicide doesn't get rid of the possibility of things getting worse, it gets rid of the possibility of things getting better. Everything will be fine, There is a whole world full of exciting possibilities. Stay strong
