This is a fiction poem. I don't have Synesthesia, I just think it's an interesting disorder. The lines across your face, They rhyme. The scrawl of pen on paper, They chime. The crimes they commit are brush strokes on paper, The lives and times of a filled up canvas. The teardrops on paper are a vibrant blue. 16 is saxophones and yellow is doom. My head is dictated by numbers and colors, My mind is filled with flutes of lavender. Why partake in a world that's breaking and so lame, When there's a much better world inside my brain. Full of green 9s and porcupine lullabies, Who would ever want to leave that life? I'm just as crazy as the next person, I may see numbers but I see between the lines. Before you try and drug me one last time, Realize that maybe this could be a sign.
