Okay. I recently have been talking to this guy, and we've dated before but I was a girl and he still found me okay. But yesterday I told him about my punk side because it seemed like he never knew. I told him I wanted 14 piercings and half were on my lip. He told me he won't allow it because he doesn't want to kiss metal. What I need help with is: -Are 14 piercings too many for someone? -Is he not worth it? -Can I ever find anyone who has less or the same amount of piercings or tattoos as me and they would be okay with me?

I love piercings too but maybe you could stick to less for now? If that's really the way you want to look go for it! Don't let him control the way you look, it's your face not his! Hope I helped. Btw there are loads of guys with piercing and stuff that are really nice and I'm sure they would accept you the way you want to be

14 seems like a lot to me but if you like it that's all that matters. If you think he's the right guy then maybe you should tell him that's what you like. If he's the right guy he'll understand

I agree with Hiding in the dark. If this is the guy that truly loves you for being you, he will come to terms and respect your choices. If he can't love you because of piercings, then he is putting his own needs and wants above yours. However, it is natural for him to say something like "I'd prefer you without piercings" because he may genuinely feel that way, perhaps even more out of concern for you than for his own satisfaction. Decide the manner in which all this is being said to you, is he being judgemental or concerned. And most importantly will you both be happy together in spite of your differences.
