I can't Help Liking Androgynous Guys Nov 09 2014, 09:16 AM

Judith Butler once claimed that gender is "performance". It is a social performance rather than innate traits. I love androgynous looking boys (even girls), because they challenge the gender code in the society. I am straight and not sexually interested in women (I tended to be when I was younger). In fact, I only feel strong sexual attraction when I feel emotional connection. Sex is not the most important thing that I seek in relationships and in fact, I feel that I am completely OK without it just like Virginia Woolf and her husband (I am not sure how her husband ever felt about it, but he respected her). There is a often a myth that human beings are sexual, but if you look into it, this claim is not entirely true. We are born as sexual and we often return to be asexual as we get older.
