Opinions on inhaled screaming? Does it make you good if you can achieve it to a high level, or is it not real screaming made for pussies?

I honestly find it a very good method, though I can't personally do it myself. It can make you a good screamer if you can hit any range possible, in my opinion. People say it's for pussies because it's been said to be an easier method to reach high notes than exhale screaming. Try it and see what you think. (:

I've been practicing different vocal techniques for screaming, growls, piq squeals etc etc, for a few years and i can do inhale screams pretty well. With that said inhale screams are something that should not be considered as a viable option if you are going to perform. They are too muffled and don't always sound that great. A few vocalists can pull it off but thats maybe 2-3 out of the ones who do it. And lastly inhales are not an easier method to reach high notes as you can't get nearly as high as you would exhaling, for example if you look up psyclon nine they use distorted extremely high pitched screams and i can get really close to that pitch but in truth your growls and screams range are going to be largely based on your own singing range. Just my opinion I am in no way a professional.

I have quite a high range when i inhale scream, i find that it helps. It was hard at first but once you get the hang of it it's honestly addictive haha
