I "became" emo in middle school, right when it stopped being a fad, prolly 2011 or 2012, must've been 13. At the time I wanted to be different, as luck would have it I ended up meeting a guy in class who mentioned he was emo and I asked him what I was but he just gave me some angelfire link to go to. All I remember was a few embeded youtube videos, copy pasted stuff from wikipedia but I was ready to be anything, the special snowflake I was. From 7th to 8th grade I wore the same blue striped hoodie, and only listened to five songs (Smashed into pieces by Silverstein, Chop Suey by SOAD, Smells like teen spirit by Nirvana, Bulls on parade by RATM,and Miss Murder by AFI). Also wrote very shitty poetry and cut myself too, but that's a different topic. I'm slightly nostalgic about these times, being 18 now and more self conscious, anyone else half-ass "being" emo?

im full emo but i listen to more experimental underground rap rather than real emo bands.

Not truly emo, always identified myself as a random human person between others. As about the music, I'll listen to anything that sounds good, mostly Rock, Metal, Industrial, Folk, etc etc.
